Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • The Contractor shall support the creation and adherence to the SAFe implementation roadmap.
  • The Contractor shall participate in agile teams supporting the SAFe methodology.
  • The Contractor shall support Government personnel in the creation, modification, and documentation of all SAFe required documentation.
  • The Contractor shall, in coordina􀆟on with the Government, develop a Planning Interval (PI) that records the stories, story points, releases, and release dates of the next quarter’s software deliveries (both O&M and development). Velocity, capacity, percent load, and total story points per release must be mutually agreed to by the Government and the Contractor prior to final publication and acceptance of the PI Plan and associated PI Objectives.
    • This includes:
      • Preparing for PI Planning by obtaining agreement on priorities from stakeholders in the Agile Release Train (ART)
      • Establish goals for each PI to guide the team’s work
      • Plan each PI in iteration-level detail
      • Clearly communicate work intended to be accomplished in PIs by creating Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound (SMART) PI objectives
      • Develop iteration goals in alignment with PI objectives
      • Provide demonstrations of completed work at the sprint/iteration boundaries as well as mid PI and end of PI
      • Conduct Inspect and Adapt events at the conclusion of each PI
  • The Contractor shall assist CODIS in advancing agility and mission accountability through the constant focus on SAFe Core Values, Mindsets, and Principles. This includes the following:
    • Visualize and limit work-in-progress (WIP), reduce batch sizes, and manage queue lengths.
    • Link strategy and execution with architectural vision and roadmaps to effectively communicate the product path forward and deliverables over a planning horizon.
    • Align with the established cadences.
    • Identify high-level initiatives and associated mission outcomes to be accomplished.
    • Address user needs and deliver business value by creating, refining, and prioritizing the Product Backlogs (Stories), ART Backlogs (EPICs), and CODIS Portfolio Backlog (Initiatives)
    • Effective use of Minimally Viable Products (MVP) for fast feedback and solution validation.
    • Develop and refine acceptance criteria at the EPIC and User Story level.
    • Reliably and continuously deliver work, in the defined timebox, to ensure high customer confidence and satisfaction.
    • Work in Development and Operations (DevOps) or Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps) approach.
    • Follow the Continuous Delivery Pipeline processes.Apply test-first practices.
    • Deliver stories/EPICs in accordance with acceptance criteria identified.
    • Rework stories not accepted.
    • Support the collection of Agile metrics.
    • Support relentless improvement and high-quality products through the review and acceptance of delivered work.
    • Review and accept work continuously through demonstration.
    • Address problems quickly and efficiently.
    • Ensure delivered products meet requirements and acceptance criteria.
    • Compile and analyze agreed-to metrics.
    • Assess solution progress and program improvements.
    • Foster an environment of exceptional collaboration and communication through participation in Agile Ceremonies.
    • Daily Scrums/Stand-ups at the product team level. ART Sync ups at the ART level Portfolio level ceremonies at the CODIS level.
    • Proactively collaborate and coordinate with other teams within the ART and across ARTs.
    • Continuously improve the processes of the team and the ART.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college
  • Must have and maintain an active DoD Secret level clearance
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role
  • Knowledgeable in SAFe/ Agile methodology
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Skilled in Azure, GitLab, Jira, Confluence

Pay Range

USD $100,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
