The Public Health Analyst is responsible for conducting research, analyzing data, and interpreting the impact of public health policies, programs, and interventions. The role supports public health initiatives by providing insights based on statistical and qualitative analysis, helping to develop strategies to improve public health outcomes.

 

**Position is contingent on funding**

 

Please note: This is a temporary position and does not initially include benefits. However, if the assignment extends beyond 90 days, the employee may become eligible for benefits in accordance with company policy.

Responsibilities

Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret public health data from various sources.
  • Identify patterns, trends, and potential risks.

Program Evaluation:

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of public health programs and interventions.
  • Use metrics and data-driven insights to provide recommendations for program improvement.

Policy Development and Analysis:

  • Research and analyze existing public health policies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to help shape future public health policies and strategies.

Reporting and Presentations:

  • Prepare detailed reports, summaries, and presentations for stakeholders, including public health officials, policymakers, and community groups.
  • Communicate findings in a clear and actionable manner.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to gather data and implement public health initiatives.
  • Serve as liaison between public health departments and external partners.

Research & Development:

  • Stay updated on emerging public health issues, research methodologies, and best practices.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of new public health studies and surveys.Compliance and Regulatory Guidance:
  • Ensure that public health programs and policies comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Provide expertise on public health laws, regulations, and accreditation requirements.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or a related field.
  • At least eight (8) years of experience in public health research, data analysis, or program evaluation.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative evaluation skills
  • Ability to lead and execute all stages of an evaluation, including planning, data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines at once
  • Experience with Indigenous Evaluation methodologies
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of public health systems, policies, and social determinants of health.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in working with diverse populations and understanding health equity.
    • Experience in managing large-scale public health databases.
    • Experience supporting federal or state government agencies, particularly public-health focused agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Pay Range

USD $155,000.00 - USD $170,000.00 /Yr.
